At the age of twenty I emigrated by myself from Seattle to London, England. I had only £800 in my pocket, but I had moxie and hustle.
In London I worked as a reporter, a job my first editor said was as easy as “putting your hand in a meat grinder.” He was right.
Now I work for NBC4i.com, where I tell the stories of Columbus, Ohio, using a Sony A7III, an iPhone 9, and a DJI Osmo. I cut all my own work in Premiere Pro, and write the stories in Word Press.
While I was raising kids, I had a radio show and worked as a freelance writer.
In 2014 I earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. In 2015 my third novel The LightCatcher won an Official Selection in the New Apple Book Awards.
